Abraham Runhumuriza is one of the national cycling icons having proved his talent by wining several cycling competitions.

The 32 year old says he has devoted all his life to the sport and it’s his career.

Below is how he spends his day of work;
I wake up at 7a.m and tune in to listen to news especially that of sports. At 7:30, I have breakfast and after, put on my sports wear.

By 8, am already riding and I like doing it around Nyungwe national park.

Apart from cycling, I also engage in other sports for physical fitness as this enables me perfect my performance in the game.I always do it until 2p.m when I get home to refresh and have something to eat.

Since I consider sports to be my job, I also have the afternoon task.

I do it until 5p.m. Although it’s not every day, at least by 6p.m, I get home.I also get some time to chat with friends and family members.

By 7p.m, I am tuned to the radio to follow sports updates. I have supper at around 8p.m and rest for about 30 minutes before heading to bed.
