American- based Rwandan entertainer Scooper Knight will organise a benefit concert scheduled for September 30, with proceeds going to orphanages.

Speaking to The New Times, Scooper emphasised that the concert is designed to raise funds to support orphans in the country.

The ‘I Fee For You’ star is expected to perform a number of songs including some from his newest album ‘Lady.’

Besides Scooper, a stellar line-up of local musicians such as Knowles, Uncle Austin, Nason, King James, Urban Boys, Kamichi and Jay Polly, will perform.

"The proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Knight Orphanage Foundation, which will distribute the funds to different orphanages including Mpore Mpeta Orphanage in Gikondo in Gikondo,” Scooper said.

He noted that the objective is to raise money for basic needs such as school fees, food, clothing, and other necessities.

The concert, which is slated to start at 5:30pm, will be held at Petit Stade in Remera. Tickets will cost Rwf2500 for the standard seat while the VIP section will go for Rwf5000. The concert is intended for people of all ages.
