MIDDLE weight (75kg) boxer Jean Morris Bikorimana will have another shot at next year’s London Olympic Games when he competes in the upcoming AIBA World Boxing Championships.

The event, slated to run from September 22 to October 10 in Baku, Azerbaijan, is a qualifier for the Olympic s.

Bikorimana had a forgettable outing in the on-going All Africa Games in Maputo after a first round exit at the hands of Nigeria’s Akanji Muyideen but argues that this is a fresh challenge.

"This is another opportunity for me to qualify for the Olympic Games so I’m working hard with my coach (Gashugi Kananura) to make sure it happens,”

Vincent Nsengiyumva also fell to Muyideen in Maputo while Feather weight (66kg) fighter Salim Kwizera was knocked out in the second round by Bruno Julio of Mauritius.
