Editor,

THE national soccer body, Ferwafa, has certainly perfected the art of inefficiency.

The humiliating end to the Africa Cup of Nations campaign is a clear testimony to this lack of focus.

Ferwafa knew months ago that coach Sellas Tetteh had not registered any goals in several matches played. It was not until the 0-5 loss to Ivory Coast that the state of the national team became apparent.

I am not questioning the quality of the coach but the failure to assemble a good squad who can bring meaningful success on the pitch. Rwandans are tired of unfulfilled promises by these officials.

The federation became notorious for leadership wrangles rather than coming up with blue prints to develop football. The truth is that the current squad cannot be relied upon to take Rwandan soccer to the next level.
