In a bid to make this year’s KCB Mountain Gorilla Rally more organised, the local motor sport governing body, Rwanda Automobile Club will use a modern tracking system that is used in world rally championship. According to Fabrice Semana, the event’s competitors’ Relations officer, the tracking system monitors cars in the race on a second by second basis, unlike previous events where the there was an interval of seconds in the tracking.

According to Fabrice Semana, the event’s competitors’ Relations officer, the tracking system monitors cars in the race on a second by second basis, unlike previous events where the there was an interval of seconds in the tracking.
"This new system will help us monitor cars on a second by second basis. So if there is a problem, we will be very prompt in dealing with it,” Semana told this paper on Monday.
Rwanda’s charge will be led by 2009 winner Davite Giancarlo, who will be driving a Subaru N11 , Fitidis Christakis in a Subaru N12, Claude Kwizera, Mayaka Felekeni,Genes Semana , Mitraros Elfeter

So far 17 of the 35 drivers expected to race have confirmed participation and they include: Conrad Rautenbach, Jas Mangat, Jamie Whyte, Alain Dethise, Bukera Valery, Davite, Jean Yves, Edson Mugyereza, Charles Lubega, Fitidis, Mitraros, Kwizera, Charles Muhangi, Bukenya, Kenneth Ntaro, Ashraf and Ronald Sebuguuzi.
