Allow me add my voice to the current soccer debate in the country. I wish to first commend the national soccer team, the Wasps despite the humiliating 5-0 defeat to Ivory Coast in our own backyard.

I believe success in football lies not only with a coach and his team, but also the football’s administration- in this case, FERWAFA.

When critically looked at, there is a lot of mismanagement by the administration. I petition the Ministry of Sports to overhaul the administration for a change in the fortunes of the sport.

The recent defeat leaves a lot to be desired. But I’m pleased the national coach Sellas Tetteh understood his failures and resigned. The leading lights in the sport should follow suit.
