Editor,

I was delighted to read your article in yesterday’s paper titled "Rwanda scores high in competitiveness index”.It is great to see Rwanda among the top three countries in Africa.

The Global Competitiveness Index (GPI) released by the World Economic Forum (WEF) also placed Rwanda at the 70th position down from 80th last year.

This performance speaks volumes about the rapid growth and development taking place in the country.

As Clare Akamanzi, Chief Operating Officer, Rwanda Development Board, has very rightly said, this "demonstrates Rwanda’s commitment and consistency in its vision of economic development.”

With this kind of performance, it will not be long before Rwanda emerges among the top countries in the world.

Wishing the New Rwanda, under the able guidance of President Paul Kagame, continued success in the years ahead.
