GATSIBO- Gatsibo District is reshuffling Sector Executive Secretaries across the district on a short term basis.

According to the Mayor, Ambrose Ruboneza, the move that started last month is aimed at addressing residents’ problems expeditiously.

The idea was adopted on the recommendations by the district’s Advisory Council.

Under the rotational program, each Executive Secretary is deployed in another sector for a period of two weeks.

The Executive Secretary of Rwimbogo Sector, Fred Kazoora Murara, who is attached to Rugarama, told The New Times that the new policy was doing wonders.

"In a short period in a new sector, I solved a number of issues that residents were excited about it,” he said.

Jimmy Theoneste Ntezirizaza, a resident of Gitoki Sector also hailed the new policy, saying a visiting leader executes his/her duties with new vigour.
