Rayon Sports captain Karim Nizigiyimana Mckenzie thinks his club needs more attacking midfielders to challenge for silverware next season.

The former APR and Kiyovu full back was impressed with how his team mates coped without several regular starters during their 1-1 draw with Police during the Primus Cup clash, which the law enforcers later won on penalties 4-2.

"We need more midfielders to win the big games. Our forwards will only score goals if they get good supply. An attacking midfielder would improve us” said the versatile defender, who can play across the defense line.

Rayon were missing key players against Police including left back Abouba Sibomana, central defenders Mbanza Hussein and Iddi Nshimiyimana, winger Fawd Ndayisenga and midfielder Cendric Hamiss.

The country’s most supported club has gone seven years without winning a trophy and coach Jean Marie Ntagwabira will be hoping to for the change in fortune when the new season sets in on September 17.
