RWANDA women basketball lost their fourth match of the group stage action against bottom-placed Mali in the basketball competition of the All Africa games being staged in Maputo.

The women hoops lost the game 59-62, a result that dents their chances of reaching the quarter final stage of the competition. A day earlier, the team had also lost to Angola 57-34.

Following those two back to back defeats, Rwanda needs to win today’s final group game Senegal if they are to resurrect their chances of staying further in the competition.

Rwanda has now won twice and lost twice in the competition. Meanwhile, men’s basketball, basketball, NPC, beach volleyball and Taekwondo are expected to touch base in Maputo this morning.
