Golfers starts preps for Mbarara Open

Golfer Jean Baptiste Hakizimana has set sights on winning the Mbarara Open scheduled to run from 18-20th of this month at the Par 72 Mbarara Golf course. The 25-year-old finished second in the two competition last year and will be looking to go one in the Rwf 2m prize tourney that is expected to attract over 40 professionals.

Golfer Jean Baptiste Hakizimana has set sights on winning the Mbarara Open scheduled to run from 18-20th of this month at the Par 72 Mbarara Golf course.

The 25-year-old finished second in the two competition last year and will be looking to go one in the Rwf 2m prize tourney that is expected to attract over 40 professionals.

"I am starting training tomorrow (today) with a target of bettering last year’s performance,” said the former caddie.

The Nyarutarama Golf club team also includes other professionals Emmanuel Ruterana, Ernest Ndayisenga and Olivier Munyaneza.

 After the Mbarara open, the golfers will head to Kampala for the Uganda Open that tees off on September 22 at the Kitante Golf Course.
