SC Kiyovu takes on newly promoted side, Electrogaz at Mumena stadium. The country’s oldest football league club goes into today’s game on the back of a 2-1 victory over Etincelles over the weekend while Electrogaz lost 3-2 against Rayon.

Kiyovu’s caretaker coach, Hussein Bizimana wants to win today’s game to convince his bosses that he is the right man for the job on a permanent basis.

Former head coach Casa Kasambogo who took over the reigns at the start of the current campaign, resigned just before the second round got underway due to unpaid salaries and allowances.

Kiyovu lie on third position with 25 points while their opponents are battling at the wrong end of the table in eighth position with 10 points from 12 matches.

Others fixtures scheduled for tomorrow includes; Mukura hosting Military and AS-Kigali traveling to Northern Province to face Etincelles.

Etincelles who have struggling in the relegation zone since the start of the season, defeated Mukura 1-0 in their last fixture and will be hoping to add Jean Baptist Kayiranga’s side to their scalp as the fight to avoid the dreaded drop intensifies.
Meanwhile, HAMZA NKUUTU adds that after battering Military 13-0, APR will be looking to extend their goals scoring exploits this afternoon against Marines at Nyamirambo stadium.

The three clubs have their roots to the national military force and considering how things went APR met Military, it won’t be a surprise if Marines went down in similar fashion.

As the title race rages on, every detail including points, goals scored and conceded matters a lot especially to the sides in the running namely APR, Atraco and Rayon Sports.

Last season, APR won their ninth league crown courtesy of their far superior goal difference as compared to Rayon with whom they finished the season tied on 59 points.
Therefore, all eyes will be on APR’s game against Marines especially when their big title rivals won’t be in action.

A win for APR, which is very much inevitable considering their good history against the Gisenyi based outfit, will take them two points above Atraco at the top of the league table.
Atraco’s game against Rayon, which had also been scheduled for today, was postponed because of Rayon’s involvement in Caf competition.
