Amavubi Stars striker Labama Bokota Kamana has finalized his move to Primus national league side Rayon Sports in a two year deal, the club’s head coach Jean Marie Ntwgabirwa has confirmed.

The 28-year-old put pen to paper Monday evening in a deal that see him return to the club for a second spell.  The DR Congo born striker joins his team mates after the international break.

Bokota played for the Blues between 2006 and 2008, scoring 18 goals in 42 appearances but later swapped for Rayon’s archrivals APR during the 2008-2009 season, there he netted eight times in 24 appearances.

But his APR career was short-lived after he was handed a one-year ban by the local football federation (Ferwafa) for featuring for a Congolese side Vita Club while still under contact with the army side.

"His experience and sharpness in front of goal will be vital for us next season. That is why we were keen on signing him,” stated former APR and Atraco coach Ntwgabirwa.

The ex-Rwandan international midfielder has already made six new signings including; Idi Nshimiyimana, Eric Tuyishimire, Mbanza Hussein, Juma Mpongo, Cedric Amiss and Saidi Abedi Makasi.

The club is also reported in talks with midfielder Matembe Ndikumana Type and striker Tom Okello.

The country’s most supported club is aiming to win their first league title in seven seasons. Rayon has so far played four friendly matches in pre-season, winning two and losing the others.
