APR and Amavubi Stars’ midfielder Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza alias Migi could soon realize his dream of turning professional, but only if his proposed move to Poland top division side Cracovia materializes.

According to the 23-year-old’s manager Nick Neurerer, the club is interested in the Rwandan international signing the player but refused to into further details before discussing the proposal with the player.

"The club is interested but I need to first discuss it with him and APR before I release any more information,” Neurerer told this paper by phone yesterday.

However, Times Sport could not reach Migi by press time as his mobile phone was switched off [the midfielder is in Burundi playing in the EAC Military Games] but APR Secretary General Kalisa Adolphe said unless Cracovia contacts them directly, the player will not be allowed to go.

"We don’t deal with Agents or managers but with clubs. Unless there is a written offer from the club, then we cannot listen to anyone else,” Kalisa said.

The player’s contract with APR runs out in next month, which means technically, he can listen to offers from elsewhere. The military side is understood to have offered him a new deal early this month but the two parties haven’t reached an agreement.

Cracovia is the oldest club in Poland and has five league titles to its name.
