PRIMUS national league side Mukura will start the new season with a target of finishing among the top four, according to the club’s newly installed chairman.

Olivier Nizeyimana told Times Sport yesterday, "We will do our best within our means to see that this team finishes among the top four clubs at the end of next season.”

"Apart from APR, Rayon Sport and Police, who we believe are in a far stronger position to finish above us, the rest we can compete for the fourth position.

" We are going to sign reasonably and ensure that there is full support for the coach to meet our targets,” noted Nizeyimana, who went on to regret Mukura’s performance last season which saw one of the oldest clubs in the country by a whisker.

NIzeyimana was voted to replace long serving Abraham Nayandi  during the club’s general assembly held over the weekend in Huye, Southern Province.

Other new members on the club’s executive committee include Veduste Nshimiyimana (vice president), Olivier Murindahabi (Secretary General) and Frodouard Ngendahimana as the treasurer.

Nizeyimana said, "It is going to be a tough challenge guiding this proud club back to its status but we will certainly make it possible.”

Mukura finished the 2010/11 league season on ninth position with 23 points ahead of Amagaju, AS Muhanga and Musanze.
