IT was a forgettable display for the national women volleyball team yesterday as they ended their 2011 Africa Nations Championship campaign with no win.

Having lost their opening Group B matches against Senegal and Botswana, it was always going to be a tall order against the defending champions Algeria.

And there was little surprise as Jean Marie Nsengiyumva’s team lost in straight sets (13-25, 22-25, 16-25).

Algeria and Senegal joined six time champions Kenya and Egypt in the semi-final.

Kenya finished top of Group A after a straight sets victory over Egypt (25-23, 32-30 and 26-24).
