The attacking midfielder, who has been getting US$ 52,000 (Rwf30.9m) a year at Swedish second division side Osters F.C, has already agreed a two- year-deal with the Primus league champions in the region of US$24, 000 (Rwf14m) a year.

The attacking midfielder, who has been getting US$ 52,000 (Rwf30.9m) a year at Swedish second division side Osters F.C, has already agreed a two- year-deal with the Primus league champions in the region of US$24, 000 (Rwf14m) a year.
The 28-year-old, who is expected jet in before the end of the month to finalise the deal, told Times Sport that the reasons for taking a pay cut are long term.
"I have always had a good relationship with APR and I know that we can still work out something when my playing career ends,” he said.
Karekezi still tops the ‘most expensive Rwandan player’ charts following his Rwf190m move from APR to Helsingborgs in 2005.
Apart from Karekezi, APR has also signed Ugandan Internationals Dan Wagaluka and Habib Kavuma, and are also said to be after Bokungu Ndjori and Thiery Gaseruka.
The military side has also reinforced the coaching department after bringing in Guus Hiddink’s brother Rene Hiddink in place of Eric Nshimiyimana.
