Inyamibwa, a cultural troupe founded by Association des étudiants et élèves rescapés du génocide (AERG), an association of students who survived the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi, on Sunday, March 19, thrilled thousands of fans in a concert to mark their 25th anniversary.

The concert at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (KCEV) lined up Inyamibwa as the main headliner and Nyundo Drummer Kids who surprised the revelers at the beginning of the show.

The 25-year-old traditional troupe’s dancers hit the stage with more than a dozen traditional dances, including umushagiriro, ikinimba, ikinyemera, guhamiriza, and hinga amasaka.

It was a fully packed KCEV main hall with the audience enjoying the troupe's outstanding performance which included drumming, dancing, and singing. The concert was graced by, among others, Minister of Trade and Industry, Jean-Chrysostome Ngabitsinze, former member of the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), Patricia Hajabakiga, and Rwandan traditional music singers like Intore Masamba, Jules Sentore and Joel Ruti.

In a variety of beautiful cultural attires, Inyamibwa gave their best in successive stunning and energetic performances as they celebrated 25 years of growth, uniqueness, resilience and loving Rwandan culture.

Inyamibwa also performed a song that is about heroes with banners that had the three heroes classifications Imanzi, Imena and Ingenzi.
