Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Country Director of World Vision-Rwanda, George Gitau, encouraged participants to utilise every opportunity they get in leadership to create positive change in their respective countries.

"You have the potential to become what you wish to be and even be agents of change to advocate for children`s rights, fight child abuse and bring peace in areas of conflict,” Gitau said.

He emphasised that they must aim at being role models in uniting others and bringing peace and reconciliation in their communities.

The forum aims at preparing the young generation to become exemplary future leaders so as to contribute towards national development.

Among others, participants are engaged in studies to build their capacity in coming up with income generating activities to support themselves and others.
