KIMIHURURA - Two Members of Parliament and a Senator will today take oath of office at the Parliament Buildings in Kimihurura.

According to a statement from the Office of the President, Teddy Gacinya is the new Senator replacing Aloys Inyumba, who is currently the Minister of Gender and Family Promotion.

The same statement indicates that Alfred Gasana has been appointed the new head of internal security in the National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS).

The new lawmakers are Marie Josée Kankera and Amiel Semahundo who are both on the Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) and Coalition MPs list of candidates for the 2008 parliamentary elections.

They replace the late Aimable Nibishaka and Alexander Ashinzwuwera respectively.

Kankera replaces Nibishaka who died last month, while Semahundo replaces Ashinzwuwera who lost his parliamentary seat after he allegedly physically assaulted his young brother – a case that ended up in court.
