APR have laughed off claims that they are after Rayon Sport’s new signing Fawd Ndayisenga. It’s hardly two months since the Burundi international joined the blues on a two-year contract.

The 23-year-old signed a pre-agreement contract with Rayon, pocketing Rwf2m in the process and promised an extra Rwf 2m.

However, the club Secretary General Olivier Gakwaya is furious by the fact that the midfielder has not turned up for pre-season training till date.

"Faud has failed to show up for pre-season training. We have heard that APR have tabled a better offer for him but that is out of the question because he is a Rayon Sport player,” Gakwaya said.

When asked about the matter, APR’s Secretary General Kalisa Adophe quickly rubbished the claims, insisting that he is not on their wish list.

"He is not on the list of players that we want to sign. We have not contacted him at all and in fact I’m shocked by those claims,” a stunned Kalisa said.

The defending league champions have already signed four players in Olivier Karekezi, Jimmy Mulisa, Dan Wagaluka and Habib Kavuma.
