Editor,

Recently, 50 judicial police officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) were trained in advanced investigation skills.

These skills are vital because with loopholes in investigation, the prosecution risks losing cases and suspects easily getting away with crime.

The evolution in crime, especially at regional levels requires police officers to be skilled as well as equipped.

I have no doubt that with training and increasing participation of the community in fighting crime, the country will only get safer.

The benefits of security are immense, with more tourists, investors as well as a citizenry that lives in peace, to mention but a few.

Living is a serene community can be satisfying.
