Athletes up preps for ‘Isles of Man’ games

RWANDA will field a four-man team in next month’s Commonwealth Youth Games. The event, to be held in the Isle of Man, will run from September 7-13. Italy- based Joanna Umurungi will compete in aquatics while Faustin Mpamo, Celine Iranzi and Egide Kayigire will battle it out on the track.

RWANDA will field a four-man team in next month’s Commonwealth Youth Games. The event, to be held in the Isle of Man, will run from September 7-13.

Italy- based Joanna Umurungi will compete in aquatics while Faustin Mpamo, Celine Iranzi and Egide Kayigire will battle it out on the track.

According to the vice president of the national Olympic Committee Elia Manirarora, the team has started residential training at Hotel Tech.

The Bowl Stadium at the National Sports Centre, Douglas will stage the opening ceremony on September 8.
