More families receive cows in Musanze

MUSANZE - At least 53 residents of Remera Sector in Musanze District, yesterday, received exotic heifers through the poverty eradication project of One-Cow per Family program.Under the program, popularly known as Girinka, residents receive cows and then pass on their calves to other residents.

MUSANZE - At least 53 residents of Remera Sector in Musanze District, yesterday, received exotic heifers through the poverty eradication project of One-Cow per Family program.

Under the program, popularly known as Girinka, residents receive cows and then pass on their calves to other residents.

Speaking during the function, the district vice Mayor, Jerome Mugenzi, called on the area residents to work hard to achieve their goals designed to fight poverty.

The cows were donated by Heifer Project International-HPI.
