PROLINE midfielder Charles Mwesigye Tibingana has admitted his interest to play for 12-time league champion APR, and that he would welcome a move sooner rather than later.

Tibingana, 17, who has already been contacted by APR officials, relinquishes playing for the military side.

He said yesterday, "APR officials have contacted Proline, and I wish everything goes well so that such we can move to Rwanda.”

Both Tibingan and forward Andrew Buteera have been contacted by APR officials through their club coach and Fifa agent Mugib Kasule.

"Though I’m still a Proline player, I’d jump at the opportunity to play for APR. It would be another milestone for both of us to play for the Rwandan champions,” added Tibingana.

Tibingana and Buteera expected in Kigali soon after they were both summoned to the national senior team to start preparations for the Group D Nations’ Cup qualifier against Cote d’Ivoire.

APR, who lost influential midfielder Haruna Niyonzima to Tanzanian giants Young Africans, has secured the services of Dan Wagaluka from Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) for $15,000.

And inside sources also claim that Karekezi Olivier and Jimmy Mulisa have finalized moves to the military side. However, Times Sport could not independently verify these claims as all none of the club officials contacted was willing to comment.
