The EXPO will enhance Rwanda’s footprints globally

Editor, I am pleased to read in The New Times that Expo Rwanda 2011 had kicked off yesterday at the Gikondo Fair Grounds, Kigali. What is extremely encouraging to note , is that the number of foreign exhibitors participating this year , drawn from as many as 18 countries including my country, India , has shot up to 141 , from a mere 99 last year. This translates into a very healthy 42.4 % increase in the number of foreign participants.

Editor,

I am pleased to read in The New Times that Expo Rwanda 2011 had kicked off yesterday at the Gikondo Fair Grounds, Kigali.

What is extremely encouraging to note , is that the number of foreign exhibitors participating this year , drawn from as many as 18 countries including my country, India , has shot up to 141 , from a mere 99 last year. This translates into a very healthy 42.4 % increase in the number of foreign participants.

The Expo will enhance Rwanda’s footprints globally and will also help local SMEs to showcase their products and services to the high number of foreign visitors who will come to the venue. Furthermore, it will also give the foreign exhibitors a taste of this beautiful land and whet their appetites to engage more with local businessmen.

I wish Ephraim Karangwa , Acting Director of Investments and Special Projects along with his entire team at the Private Sector Federation ( PSF ) every success . My wishes also go out to all the exhibitors , both local and international , for a very successful Expo Rwanda 2011 in this land of a thousand hills and a million smiles.
