Hideous things have happened in churches including embezzlement and infighting over the ownership of some churches.  This is not a uniquely Rwandan phenomenon. It is global.  I have read reports in the past where some clerics end up in court for mismanagement of funds.

I was therefore not shocked when I read a story in The NewTimes, this week, that the association of Pentecostal Churches in Rwanda (ADEPR) is faced with Genocide ideology and intrigue that is threatening to tear the church a part.

This is the right time for church leaders to come together and rebuild their image. It’s not too late. Covering up problems will not give a lasting solution but alienate followers from the church leaders.
