President Paul Kagame's team, on Wednesday, March 15, beat FIFA President Gianni Infantino's side 3-2 during a Football Delegation Tournament at the newly inaugurated "Kigali Pele Stadium" in Rwanda.
The tournament that kicked off after the Stadium renaming ceremony, brought together top football executives from FIFA, CAF and other confederations and member associations as well as football legends.
The tournament participants are among the delegates of the 73rd FIFA Congress in Kigali on Thursday, March 16, at BK Arena.
Augustine Azuka Okocha, 49, commonly known as Jay-Jay Okocha, the Nigerian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder, is the one who scored three goals to enable Kagame's side to win the game.
On the other side, the Brazilian, Marcos Evangelista de Morais, known as Cafu, 52, netted a brace for Infantino's team (FIFA Team). Cafu, the former professional footballer played as a right-back.
Speaking at the game, Kagame expressed his gratitude for being part of Pele’s remembrance and being part of the football game that thrives to get the world more united.
