Bralirwa to stick with ‘Player of the month’ awards

AS they bid to extend their sponsorship deal for the top flight league, Bralirwa also plan to continue their player of the month award scheme.

The scheme started in the latter stages of last season and the company’s Commercial Director Alexander Koch has confirmed that the scheme will continue.

"We are thinking of making some adjustments but the scheme will continue because we think it is one way of making the league more attractive and competitive,” Koch said.

The Player of the month awards started in April. Police striker Kagere Meddie scooped the award while APR midfielder Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza a.k.a Migi claimed the May prize.

The selection panel for the award is made up of six sports journalists and six match commissioners.

Bralirwa injected Rwf 335m in their three-year sponsorship deal and with one year left, the brewing company is eager extend the deal.
