NEXT season’s Primus league curtain raiser ‘Primus Cup’ is set for mid September, according to reports from the local football governing body, Ferwafa.

Ferwafa competitions head Boniface Nsabimana yesterday revealed that the annual pre-season tournament will feature four clubs.

"The Primus Cup will feature the top four teams from last season’s league,” he said.

Last year, Rwanda’s main brewing and soft beverage company, Bralirwa unleashed a three-year sponsorship package worth Rwf335m to the top flight football league.

The partnership was due to cover the remainder of this season as well as the 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 seasons.

The agreement also includes sponsoring the Primus Cup.

Last season, APR sealed a record 12th league title.
