MTN donates sanitary kit to health centre

RUSIZI- Telecom firm, MTN Rwanda has donated sanitary equipment worth Rwf1m to Gihundwe Health Centre maternity section. The items included washing soap, buckets and kitchen utensils among others. The donation was part of MTN’s ‘Umuhuza Wacu’ an annual countrywide program, through which the company engages in social corporate activities as a way of giving back to society.

RUSIZI- Telecom firm, MTN Rwanda has donated sanitary equipment worth Rwf1m to Gihundwe Health Centre maternity section.

The items included washing soap, buckets and kitchen utensils among others.

The donation was part of MTN’s ‘Umuhuza Wacu’ an annual countrywide program, through which the company engages in social corporate activities as a way of giving back to society.

"We want to say thank you to our esteemed customers through giving back. We also aim at getting feedback about our services,” said Alain Numa, the Events and Promotions Co- coordinator of the company.

"Some poor mothers would come with almost nothing to the centre, yet we couldn’t drive them out. At least now, the hygiene issue has been addressed,” said a health worker at Gihundwe health centre.
