As a teenager you tend to rebel and do things your way. When your parents tell you to do something, you do the contrary. Below are tips on how to deal with the rebel in you.

Offer to do things for your parents. If they need help with something offer to help them, and remember don’t complaint.

Respect your parents’ rules. When they stop you from doing anything, follow there order because they wish you well. Never do these things even if your parents aren’t around. There’s no amount of money that can equal to receiving respect. When you show respect to your parents, you are giving them a priceless gift that makes them happy and proud.

Be grateful. Always say thank you to your parents; they devote a lot of time and energy to you.

Don’t expect to be the center of attention all the time. After the age of 7 or 8, your social instincts about sharing and caring for others will start to kick in. Live up to this destiny of healthy psychological development.

Never lie! It’s very disrespectful and you are likely to get caught.

Think about your siblings for a change. Try to be nicer to them than usual. Your parents will see and be pleased by your maturity. Then they will give you more freedom. Ask politely to get something.

Keep in touch with your parents and update them what’s going on in your life.
