RPF Western Province officials retain party seats

KARONGI- All Rwandan Patriotic Front officials in the Western Province retained their seats during the party’s elections held in Karongi District, over the weekend.  Jean Nepo Nkurikiyinka was re-elected as the Provincial Chairperson with Dr Jean Nepo Sindikubwabo, his assistant.

KARONGI- All Rwandan Patriotic Front officials in the Western Province retained their seats during the party’s elections held in Karongi District, over the weekend.

Jean Nepo Nkurikiyinka was re-elected as the Provincial Chairperson with Dr Jean Nepo Sindikubwabo, his assistant.

The vice Mayor in charge of social affairs in Karongi, Dative Mukabalisa also retained her position as the party’s secretary, while Niramire Nkusi, who is in charge of good governance also held on to his post.

Angella Mukaminani remained in charge of Economic affairs while Emmanuel Muragijimana and Francoise Nirere stayed in charge of Justice and Social affairs, respectively.

Upon re-election for his second term in office, Nkurikiyinka promised full commitment towards strengthening the party.

"As usual, I intend to work closely with all party members to achieve sustainable social and economic development,” he said.

Nkurikiyinka cited agriculture, environmental protection and the social welfare of Rwandans as some of the priority sectors in the country’s development.

One of the party members in Rutsiro district Antoine Musabyimana, expressed optimism that the re-elected team would continue to foster development.

"The team is very hard working and I’m sure that more achievements will be made since their re-election,” he said.
