The outgoing United States Ambassador to Rwanda Stuart Symington was one of the most pro-active diplomats during his time in Rwanda, and he accomplished a lot.

His participation in different development activities in Rwanda was exemplary. He was always up and about performing his diplomatic roles and supporting Rwanda to move forward.

When I read of his imminent departure, I felt emotional and thought Rwanda will miss one of the best diplomats who really had a strong attachment to the country.

His involvement in the education, agriculture, peace and security and health activities were always praiseworthy.

On behalf of all ordinary Rwandans, I would like to thank Ambassador Symington for a job well done during his time in Rwanda. He will be greatly remembered by the people whose lives were changed through his works.

We would also like to wish Ambassador Symington good luck in his new assignment and also invite him back to the country in the future to see the fruits of the work he was part of.
