THE Junior Wasps will be hosted at Sports View hotel this afternoon to mark their memorable debut at the Fifa U-17 World Cup in Mexico.

According to the executive coordinator of the 2011 U-17 Cocan, Emmanuel Bugingo, the reception will be graced by Prime Minister Bernard Makuza.

Other dignitaries expected to attend include the Minister of Sports, Youth and Culture Protais Mitali and Ferwafa boss Brig. Gen. Jean Bosco Kazura among others.

The youngsters returned on Tuesday after failing to make it past the group stage.

The team got their campaign off to a bad start after a 2-0 defeat against England. They then lost to Uruguay 0-1 before drawing their final group C tie against Canada.

Meanwhile, hosts Mexico progressed to the semi-finals after a 2-1 victory over France on Monday. They now face Germany who knocked out England courtesy of a 3-2 win on Monday.

Uruguay plays Brazil in the other semi final spot in Guadalajara.
