Maize farmers are expected experience high demand for the crop following the launch of Bralirwa s new small fashionable and portable Turbo king bottle.

Alexanda Koch, Commercial Director of Blarirwa, the brewer of Turbo kings brewer said the new look is expected to raise sales in the market which will trigger more consumption of maize, a raw material for the product in the new dark brown beer.

We strive not only to import but also involve farmers; that is why we use local products, he said, adding that the brown colored malt beer is the only brand that uses maize.

Speaking to Business Times after the launch of the beer last week, Koch noted that the new bottle unlike the old 72cl bottle is cheaper and available for those who would wish to have a taste from other brands.

We have made it smaller but still the same taste and content for our customers to feel the perfection and greatness, he said.

He, however, noted that the beer has a stronger alcoholic content of 6.5 per cent compared to other beers at 5 per cent, making it stronger.

Aline Asselot, the Marketing Manager for Bralirwa said that the new look has been demanded by customers who wanted their brand in a smaller and cheaper bottle to enjoy it better.

Launching the 33cl Turbo King bottle today confirms that Bralirwa is guided by its consumers, she said

Launched late 2009, Turbo King did not pick well in the market due to its big bottle that many customers disregarded as heavy and too much in volume content.
