Are you Shy or Confident?

Every child has someone they admire and want to be like in future, when they have grown into adults. It could be their parents, a favorite teacher, a celebrity they see on Television or even that friendly Doctor at the hospital. Besides that, there are so many things children would like to be skilled at such as dancing, singing, acting and writing among others.

Confidence opens opportunities fro everyone.

Confidence is vital for one to achieve these because when you are shy, you will always find it hard to go for what you want.

Chantal Kamikazi wrote very fascinating poems as a passion while in her primary five. She was however very shy and kept to herself all the time. She was afraid to talk to anyone and walked with her head bent—she was shy.
One day her school organized a poetry competition trip to Denmark for the best three poets. She handed in some of her poems to the teacher along with other pupils. She wrote the most captivating poems.

However, they were supposed to read their poems first to the teachers to prove that they will be confident enough to present them in Denmark.

When Kamikazi’s turn reached, she was shaking and her voice was quivery. She fainted half way through the first sentence. Chantal missed the Denmark trip all because she was not confident.

We should not be shy to the extent of fainting. Being shy will make you miss out on great opportunities. We should always be confident people and go for whatever we want to achieve. No one in this world is perfect so do not be afraid of those who may laugh at you!
