Players Abroad: Mutsinzi’s impressive preseason at Jerv continues

It was not a bad weekend for Rwandan players playing in foreign clubs as defender Ange Mutsinzi and youngster King Josias Furaha put up superb performances for new club FK Jerv.

Veteran Meddie Kagere also put up a great show in Singida Big Stars 1-1 draw with FC Coastal Union.

Times Sport brings to you a roundup on how Rwandan players fared abroad over the weekend.

Norway

Central defender Ange Mutsinzi played full throttle for FK Jerv and was superb despite the club's 1-0 defeat to Sandnes Ulf in a preseason friendly. In the same game, 19-year-old winger King Josias Furaha, who recently signed for the club, was introduced in the second half.

Tanzania

Meddie Kagere was in action for Singida Big Stars who drew 1-1 with FC Coastal Union on Sunday.

Morocco

Emmanuel Imanishimwe played 90 minutes of the game for AS FAR Rabat who were held to a goalless draw with Olympique Safi during a league match on Sunday.

France

Warren Kamazi was an unused substitute for Toulouse who went away to defeat Angers 2-0 during Sunday’s Ligue 1 clash at Stade Raymond Kopa.

In the CFA League, Irvyn Lomami was not in action for the second team of Olympique Lyon who did not play over the weekend as they get ready to face Hyeres March 18.

Lille youngster Hakim Sahabo did not play either as the French U19 league resumes on March 19.

Belgium

In the Belgian third tier, Central midfielder Samuel Gueulette was introduced in the second half on Friday as Raal La Louviere lost 1-0 to Francs Borains.

Despite a surprise national team call up last week, Djihad Bizimana continues to struggle for game time at club level. He was not in the KMSK Deinze team which lost 1-0 to FC Dender during the Challenger League relegation play off.

England

Noam Emeran is expected to start on Monday, March 13, when Manchester United U21 host Leicester City in the Premier League 2.

Luxembourg

Glen Habimana replaced Albert Ferreira in the 81st minute as his side Victoria Rosport thrashed FC Union 4-2.

Right-back Jonathan Nsanzimana did not make it in the Union Titus Petange squad who beat FC Dudelange 1-0.

Sven Kalisa was not in the Etzella team that drew 2-2 with Swift Hesparange

Moldova

Steve Rubanguka was not in the match day squad of Chisinau Zimbriu who were held to a goalless draw with SF Gheorge in the Championship Group round.
