Editor,

I was delighted to read the article in yesterday’s issue of The New Times titled : " AG’s Report : House commends improved management of public funds. " This is very interesting development.

The new Auditor General, Obadiah Biraro, needs to be applauded for presenting a detailed report and for also pointing out areas where irregularities were observed.

Previously, reports from AG’s office were showing millions of Francs were being uncounted for by Government officials but the latest Biraro’s report shows major improvement in managing public funds.

Rwanda’s good governance and zero tolerance to corruption is definitely taking the country to great heights, and with the stringent policies and procedures introduced by the Government, each and every state institution audited, will soon come out with a clean slate.
