Editor,

Allow me to add my voice to that of many other people who have categorically proclaimed Rwanda as a success story.

African countries must learn a lot from Rwanda’s rapid business transformation to improve the business climate and attract investments.

I was in Rwanda and was amazed by the kind of developments going on in a country that was shattered during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

I believe that the difference between Rwanda and other African countries is in the area of business reforms.

On the other hand, Rwanda’s ability to successfully fight corruption has attracted investments. Not so long ago, Rwanda was ranked lowly in the area of doing business.

However, initiatives were soon launched and Rwanda Development Board-RDB introduced new measures that enabled investors to register their business companies fast.

It’s not surprising that in 2010, Rwanda emerged top reformer in the World Bank doing business ranking. Rwanda will continue to shine.
