Most children today have ‘watching television’ written on top of their list of hobbies. Which I guess is okay—who doesn’t love watching television anyway?

Hannah Montanna, Wizards of Waverly place, Phines and Ferb, Jonas brothers, high school movies and everything Disney world has in stock for you, makes television the best place to be.

However, your life should not revolve around television! There are a million and one other things that you can do and enjoy.

Watching television is not bad at all but watching too much television is not cool either. The people you sit on the couch and watch all day in the Television are working while you sit and do nothing but watch them working.

Television can be a great entertainer and educator but needs to be watched in moderation.

Too much television comes with some risks. Too much screen time can interfere with activities such as sports, playing with friends, reading and doing home work.

According to a research done by Kids health, children who consistently spend more than four hours watching TV are more likely to be overweight and show aggressive behavior. They are also likely to have poor eye sight in their early ages as a result of too much television.

Children should watch the fun, entertaining and educative programs on television that are permitted by their parents.

Most importantly, you should take part in other activities besides watching TV like playing with friends and reading. You should balance watching television with other activities.
