Rwanda Energy Group (REG) basketball club captain Olivier Shyaka admits that their opening Sahara Conference game against Nigeria&039;s Kwara Falcons is a tough tie but hopes that his his side wins at all cost.

The match gets underway at Dakar Arena, on Sunday at 4pm Kigali Time.

" We are well prepared, ready for the game. We know that it will not be an easy game but we are prepared both physically and mentally," Shyaka told Times Sport.

"As REG, we want to qualify for the knockout phase in May. We have hunger for success and we know that we are not only representing REG but Rwanda," he added.

Last year, Rwanda Energy Group (REG) topped the Sahara conference and made it to the knockout phase, though they fell to Cameroon&039;s FAP and did not go beyond this level.

Meanwhile, Tunisia’s US Monastir begin their title defense against Stade Malien at 7:30 pm Kigali-Time.
