Editor,

The training of over 90 officials from all 30 districts in the country in the fight against corruption-related cases and injustice in their respective working stations is commendable.

There have been reports of corruption in districts involving senior leaders with some ending up in jail. There is no room for corrupt-minded people in Rwanda.

The training, which took place in Gasabo District this week and organised by the Office of the Ombudsman, will help give required skills to district leaders to eliminate corruption once and for all.

Though we have already done well against corruption, we cannot afford to sit back and relax.

I am sure the training will, in the long run, instill a culture of transparency and accountability among Rwandans. I wish similar training would be organised frequently.
