Editor,

RDB’s launch of 52 small and large water tanks worth, Rwf62 million, for communities around the Volcanoes National Park is the ideal mark of corporate social responsibility. As a government body that promotes investment opportunities in the country,  the inititative is not only a trendsetter but an example to be emulated by all.

It is encouraging to note the remarks of Clare Akamanzi, the Chief Operations Officer, that RDB seeks to ensure that the benefits of conservation benefit communities around the national parks. This is a move that ensures people around the national parks become custodians of one of the country’s natural resources.
