APR have dismissed claims that influential winger Haruna Niyonzima is in talks with Tanzanian champions Young Africans.

The Amavubi captain has been linked with Tanzanian clubs Simba and Young Africans and the Tanzanian media on Monday reported that the winger, whose contract expires in October, is likely to join Young Africans.

However APR’s Secretary General Adophe Kalisa insists that the club has not been officially approached.

"There is nothing in those claims. He is an APR player, and has been training as usual for the Peace Cup final. He did not travel to Tanzania at all to talk with Young stars or Simba,” the official said.

Besides Niyonzima, Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza a.k.a Migi, Albert Ngabo, Jean Claude Ndoli, Jean Marie Vianney Rukundo, Didier Kapet, Abbas Rassou, Omar Hitimana, Eric Ndayishimiye alias Bakame, Malawi international Tchimanga Mutamba, Hegeman Ngoma and Landry Logba will all see out their contracts in October.
