Leviticus 19:3 says "Each of you must respect his mother and father, and you must observe my Sabbaths. I am the LORD your God.” Here God calls us to respect our parents and go to pray in our churches.

Proverbs 1:8 and Proverbs 6:20 say "Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. God talks again about the importance of obeying children.

Proverbs 4:1 says "Listen, my sons, to a father’s instruction; pay attention and gain understanding.” Advices from parents and elders add much to levels children understanding.

Ephesians 6:1 says "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right”. It is good for us to obey and respect our parents.
