CHICAGO - President Paul Kagame is scheduled to speak, today, at Rwanda Day event scheduled to take place in Chicago.

This year’s Rwanda Day will be celebrated under the theme: Agaciro (Our Heritage - Our Future) and is expected to bring together thousands of Rwandans in the Diaspora and friends of Rwanda.

The two-day event (June 10-11), presents an opportunity to showcase Rwanda’s impressive growth over the last 17 years and call for the Diaspora in North America to invest in the country and contribute to continued growth.

The gathering also provides a unique opportunity for Rwandans and friends of Rwanda to hear, firsthand, the stories of Rwanda’s unparalleled achievements and find out how they can be part of the process.

Several private and public companies will hold exhibitions to showcase their activities, as a way of attracting investments and potential partnerships.

Participants will discuss, among other topics, Connecting Opportunities, Creating Value for Rwandans, Investing in Rwanda's Youth, Creating Solutions for the Future and Pride and Unity as Pillars of Rwanda's Development.

The fundamental aim of Rwanda Day events is to build social, communal and business relationship between the Rwandan Diaspora, friends of Rwanda and Rwandan business community, by creating opportunities for business linkages and knowledge sharing.

Various artists from Rwanda and the Diaspora will entertain the participants.
