The reigning champions for the 2007 men’s National Volleyball Championship; APR have been invited to take part in the 27th African Cup of Clubs Champions Championship to be held in Misurata, Libya.

The event which is part of the 2008 Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) calendar will run from April 8-19.

The eleven-day event will attract clubs that won their countries’ respective national volleyball leagues.

APR has automatic qualification after winning last year’s local championship.

In 2007, Rwanda National University was Rwanda’s flag bearer at the annual event that was staged in Niger.

UNR finished 6th in the 12-club competition.

The registration deadline for the event is March 14.
