Célestin Ndayishimiye
Position: Defender
Born: 11/10/1995
Place of birth: Gatsibo
Caps: 17 Goals: 0

He is the Patrice Evra of the team. The left back combines shrewd defensive play with pace and skill in attack. In other words, he can tackle, has pace and adds more of a cutting edge to the attack. Just like Rusheshangoga, he made his debut last year in a friendly against Tunisia U17.

Ndayishimiye, who plays for Amavubi academy, also played in all Rwanda’s matches at the 2011 Caf U-17 Championship.

He is an integral member of the team and is expected to play a key part in the World Cup.

Michel Rusheshangoga
Position: Defender
Born: 05/08/1994
Place of birth: Muhanga
Caps: 15 Goals: 1

The right-back is a good reader of the game and knows when to make the overlaps and when to stay back.

On his day, Rusheshangoga’s pace and athletic ability make him very difficult to contain and Richard Tardy is counting on him to get forward and support attacks.

He is one of the most capped players in the team with 15 appearances. He made his debut last year in a friendly against Tunisia U17 and was an ever present figure during the 2011 Caf U-17 Championship were Rwanda reached the final only to lose to Burkina Faso (2-1).

Héritier Turatsinze
Position: Defender
Born: 30/10/1994
Place of birth: Rubavu
Caps: 10 Goals: 0

Turatsinze is not expected to dislodge Emery Bayisenge and Faustin Usengimana in central defense but will be called upon when any of the players gets injured and suffers a slump in form.

He is strong in the air and distributes the ball well. He proved that he can quickly settle in the team with top notch displays during the Caf U-17 Championship after an injury to Bayisenge.

He has ten caps to his name. He also plays for Sec academy in the second division.
