Local artistes in U.S to entertain at ‘Rwanda Day’

A stellar line-up of popular Rwandan artistes is set to entertain at the annual ‘Rwanda Day’ event to be held June 10-11, in Chicago, United States. Miss JoJo, Dr. Claude, Kitoko, Edouard Bamporiki, J.de Dieu Tuyisenge, Massamba, Alpha, Kizito Mihigo and comedian Atome left the country on Tuesday for the U.S.

A stellar line-up of popular Rwandan artistes is set to entertain at the annual ‘Rwanda Day’ event to be held June 10-11, in Chicago, United States.

Miss JoJo, Dr. Claude, Kitoko, Edouard Bamporiki, J.de Dieu Tuyisenge, Massamba, Alpha, Kizito Mihigo and comedian Atome left the country on Tuesday for the U.S.

This year’s ‘Rwanda Day’, with President Paul Kagame as the guest of honour, will provide a unique opportunity for a Diaspora convention bringing together Rwandans living in the United States and Canada to hear first hand the stories of Rwanda’s unparalleled achievements and how they [Rwandan Diaspora] can contribute to the country’s continued growth.

With theme: "Agaciro: Our pride, Our Heritage, Our future”, the event is expected to attract over 3,000 people, including East Africans and Friends of Rwanda.

Meanwhile, Mihigo went with a whole entertainment package for the Rwanda Diaspora. The singer recently released a brand new song dubbed ‘Turi abana b’u Rwanda’ which would be the cover of his performance.

Today, Rwanda is witnessing an all time high in economic activity and social progress - thanks to prudent policies and a good political environment.
